"Dragon's Blood" is a resin obtained from the fruit of the Daemonorops Draco Rattan tree.

This Rattan tree, known locally as "Jerang", is a native of Indonesia.

The resin, known as "Dragon's Blood" due to its rich colour, has commercial application in colouring varnishes and lacquers, and is also used as a varnish for violins. In photoengraving, it is used for preventing undercutting of the printing surface during etching.
